Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育經營與管理研究所碩士班 === 101 === Owing to the insufficient education funds from the government these years, the education resources of elementary schools need parents’ sponsoring; meanwhile, parents also need some education resources. Thus, schools and parents are interdependent. Parents are able to donate money to schools, and schools supply resources to parents. In order to keep the ongoing donations from parents, schools should strengthen the interdependent link with parents’ resources and understand the parents’ needs for the school resources then try to satisfy them. That maybe could promote the parents’ inclination for money donations.
The object of this study is 15 pupils’ parents in Chiayi County and City. Through the semi-structured in-depth interview with those parents, the parents’ needs for school resources are realized, which assists schools to gain parents’ money donations for proceeding education activities. According to the results of the interview, the conclusion is summarized as follows.
The study finds that the donating money parents’ hope to get resource needs from schools include financial resource, social resources and structural resources. Financial resources include material feedback, school business and contracted projects undertaking, the need for space and sites, career assistance, tax offsetting, etc. Social resources include increasing interactions with the school, obtaining school information, increasing parent-child interactions, broadening interpersonal relationship, gaining votes, mental satisfaction, being respected, rewarding the alma mater or the society, etc. Structural resources include children’s learning feedback, self-learning feedback, school privileges, events optimization, approving the school’s running concepts, good teaching environment, optimizing teachers’ teaching and interactions, etc.
According to the result, this study recommends for practical application and follow-up researchers.
