According to the results, make recommendations for development of elementary school teachers'' PLCs. This study conducted questionnaire survey method to collect the data. The questionnaires of the Operational Status of Teachers’ Professional Learning Community had been compiled for using as a survey tool. The subjects were 561 elementary school teachers in Tainan City. Data obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The research results were listed as follows: 1. The Operational status of PLCs in Tainan elementary schools (1) The most popular property of PLCs in Tainan elementaryschools which teachers attended were mainly Ministry of Education or the municipal government subsidized. (2) The main reason of PLCs in Tainan elementary schools which teachers attended were demand for personal professional development and work. (3) The operational Status of PLCs in Tainan elementary schools reached a moderate to high level and “practice-sharing and viewing” level has the highest score. 2. The operational Status of PLCs in Tainan elementary schools has some differences in gender and type of tasks held of teachers. 3.
