Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系科技發展與傳播碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the “Information Technology Training Module (ITTM)” of the training program for teaching assistants in a university of technology. Base upon the theories of curriculum and human resources development, the researcher conducted needs analysis, rapid diagnosis and instant intervention to secure the success of the workshop. Research methods included focus group interview, quasi-experimental research, questionnaire survey and interview. Sixty four teaching assistants from a university of technology in southern Taiwan participated in the study. Research instruments were information technology proficiency test, platform operation test, questionnaire survey, and performance checklist. The results of data analysis were the basis in the modification of the training program. The study found that: (1) Based on the rationale of needs analysis, rapid diagnosis and instant intervention, the information technology training program developed in this study, was an appropriate training module for teaching assistance of the university of technology. (2) The results of needs analysis and prerequisites diagnosis were the fundamentals in the development of course content and learning strategy. (3) After evaluating the program content, hands-on operation, intervenient assistance, training performance and learning feedback, this study confirmed that the program module needed no modification. (4) After the training program, instructors were satisfied with the help their teaching assistants provided in improving their teaching. The findings implied that this technology-oriented training module is not only applicable to the training program for teaching assistants in the university of technology, but also to the human resources development in the industry. This study also makes suggestions for educational practice and future research.
