This study uses changing-criterion-design of single-subject. The participants of this study were a sixth-grade student with reading disability and a second-grade student with suspected reading disability, the independent variable was instruction in word recognition via multimedia computer, and dependent variables were to study word recognition learning effectiveness and motivation of participants. Two participants in this study were treated with the baseline, the intervention and follow-up period of data collection. In order to realize the effectiveness of instruction via multimedia computer and whether the motivation to be enhanced or not, this study was analyzed with visual analysis, C statistics and effect size. Also, the researcher interviews the related persons to estimate social validity. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Multimedia computer instruction has its effectiveness in word recognition learning of elementary students with reading disability. 2. Multimedia computer instruction enhances the motivation in word recognition learning of elementary students with reading disability. 3. Elementary students with reading disability are able to operate touchscreen to learn independently. 4. The multimedia computer instruction can improve academic performance.
