This study employed the literature review of previous research, and document analysis of textbook systems in foreign countries. The findings of this study are summarized as follows. 1.The current Korean national curriculum system is in a period of transition from ‘one time-complete revision’ of the national curriculum to ‘frequent-partial revision’ of the one. 2.The Textbook policy is from government-issued and authorized textbooks towards increasing approved textbooks. 3.In other foreign countries, textbooks of all grades are evaluated at one time, but in Korea they are conducted yearly evaluation of all grades. 4.The 2010 Textbook Reform system for 2009 curriculum policy has not been yet adequate preparation.
