In general, the academic achievement of middle and upper class students is better than the children of working class, and the difference is rooted in family cultural capital. In the process of family education, parents from different classes have different values, educational achevement expectations, rearing styles, learing environment placement, and learning process involvement which cause their children have different learning strategies. However, the influences of family social class are not absolute to children’s academic achievement in real cases, there are a few exceptions existed. Some middle and upper class students’academic performance are relatively low while others from working class have excellent academic performance. Why these students are out of the limitations of the social class structure? It’s rooted in family culture capital. This study is through interviews with students, their parents and teacher, from family culture capital and learning strategy point of view to analyze the factors which cause different socail class students have different academic achievement and the few cases out of the limitations of the social class structure. To achieve tha above purpose, this study used interviews and observation method, elected four fifth grade students, their parents and teacher as interview subjects. Those who have excellent academic achevement, their parents pay a lot of effort in educating children. The children are influenced by family culture capital and could effectively absorb the learning strategies from the guidance of their teacher. As the family of low performance children, parents may, for some reason, unable to provide the children plenty of family culture capital, which will cause the children are not good at learning strategies. Therefore, regardless of the origin of the class, if parents can create a good family culture capital, the children will be able to establish good learning strategies.
