Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 生物科技學系碩士班 === 101 === Abstract Calcium is an essential element for all animals. For birds, calcium is mainly obtained from the diet. In addition to pecking at grain, birds also peck the soil to get plenty of calcium. The bird selected for this study is Lonchura domestica as the study species. It is an artificial hybrid of the birds (Lonchura) . Lonchura domestica is more as a pet bird featuring easy-breeding and good ability to brood. In this study, we observe the changes in 4 to 12-day-old embryos and confirm that most of the chicks hatched in 13 days. At the same time, with the research of stanniocalcin( STC1) in 4 to 9-day-old embryos, PCR reaction amplified the sequences and the selected gene method of colonization successfully sequenced the stanniocalcin gene sequences. By observing in different time, we discover that the stanniocalcin starts to show in the 5th-day embryos, and it also shows between the 5th to 9th day. The stanniocalcin of gene sequence successfully sequences out partial sequence, 128bp in length. Through comparing sequences, we find that the partial gene sequences in different kind of vertebrate animals, such as chicken (Gallus gallus), cattle (Bos Taurus), small rat (Mus musculus), zebra fish (Danio rerio), and South America claw laevis (Xenopus laevis), are similar between 81%~96% degree.
