碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國語文學系碩士班 === 101 === “Qianziwen” is the wide-spreading classic book in Chinese for the longest time. It’s suitable for the junior high school students, no matter in the contents or in the calligraphy. The purposes of this study are to analyze the works, “The regular and Running-Hand Styled Calligraphies of Qianziwen” of the monk, Zhi-yong in the Sui Dynasty. There are six chapters in the thesis. The first chapter is the preface； the last chapter is the conclusion. The second chapter to the fifth one are as followings. In the second chapter, we summarized the ” Qianziwen”. In the third chapter we illustrated the origin of Zhi-yong’s calligraphy, his achievements, and his contribution for the posterity. In the fourth chapter, we analyzed the strokes, the calligraphic style and the structure of “The regular and Running-Hand Styled Calligraphies of Qianziwen”. We also made a list to sort the components of the Chinese characters. Besides, the author imitated the copybook and compiled a volume for ballpoint pen calligraphy teaching. In the fifth chapter, we combined Zhi-yong ‘s “The regular and Running-Hand Styled Calligraphies of Qianziwen” with the Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines and its Competence Indicators or Benchmarks for learning Language Arts. We also blended with the Information Technology Education to apply Qianziwen in teaching calligraphy in junior high school. The purposes of this thesis are to research “The regular and Running-Hand Styled Calligraphies of Qianziwen” and to apply it in teaching. We hope that we can not only make the students appreciate the art, but also promote their interest and ability in learning calligraphy.
