And the case study method is used for the research process and paper edition. The literature review had been conducted for the topics related to innovation, R&D management and service innovation. Also the R&D environment of a semiconductor company is introduced with the related issues of the organization, R&D management and execution, and the possibility for enhancement along with the experience benchmark is also reviewed. The “R&D project management cycle” and the “Multi-whirl R&D Management Framework” proposed in the thesis are executable R&D management methodology. And the IT-centered “Multi-whirl R&D Management Framework” can be applied or combined freely for all technologies, platforms and systems. (The details are in Chapter 6) I hope the proposal of the unique R&D Management Framework can be referred in the future to help people while building their own R&D organization and management framework.
