Motivated by the question of whether our government’ drug-abuse prevention policies are effective, this study investigates the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and behaviors regarding drug abuse among Taiwanese college students. Moreover, this study investigates whether the above relationships are influenced by individual factors such as gen- der, religion, family background, and school. The study designs a questionnaire whose responses can be analyzed via Struc- tural Educational Modeling (SEM) methodology. The three hundred subjects in- vestigated in this study are Taiwanese college students at Hsinchu. Methodologies used in this study include SEM, multiple regression, and ANOVA. Our results show that the current government policies regarding drug-abuse prevention are not publicized in a way that effectively influence students knowledge. We pro- pose remedies to improve the effectiveness of publicity for government drug-abuse prevention policies.
