Through the eye of religious art and perceptual value, the research deliberates on the following three major theses: 1. Significance of Local Culture Awareness In the 1970s, Taiwan faced its social transition with a direct impact on local religious cultures as well as overall changing tendency of life and values. Until now, the religious art is still under the test , for people have long been ignorant of its cultural continuity and existing values. In modern times, everything all but gives priority to science and technology, the supreme sacredness of "Eight Generals" has been descending to its secularization no matter this kind of religious art is changed or privately collected. In the process of evolvement, the religious values of "Eight Generals" cannot be flatly neglected, and need to be perceptually differentiated. 2. Conversion, Reconstruction, and Inheritance of "Eight Generals" The parade formation of "Eight Generals" typically represents its unique cultural significances, specifically featuring a kind of artistry among other traditional cultural activities or folks arts. However, few people deeply concern and truly understand about the beauty of "Eight Generals" formations due to the prosperous multi-cultural developments and change with time. One of the major issues in this research is to contemplate how we innovatively bring "Eight Generals" to another aesthetic level, and meanwhile, we can maintain its traditions. 3. Reevaluation of "Eight Generals" Culture through Artistic Combination of Interdisciplinary works and Smart clothes According to the field survey and historical evolution, the researcher inevitably ponders at the crucial arguments, progressively conducts essential interviews, eagerly suggests analytic argumentation, and innovatively combines the technological gadget-Smart clothes-into the creation. Leading the artistry of "Eight Generals" into modern technology brings out another aesthetic aspect in contrast to previous artwork, which aims to create a distinct formation of "Eight Generals" performance. Religious cultures are viewed as a traditional continuity but actually need another possible extension and different denotations. Today, we are looking forward to a broad range of creative perspectives that come from "Eight Generals" as well as widespread ingenuity embedded in its dances, formations, types of facial makeup, and costume. 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 數位內容科技學系碩士班 === 101 === This study case , regarding "Eight Generals" of Taoism as the principal axis, aims to introduce the cross-over research of Taiwanese traditional religious art and contemporary technological application. Through the eye of religious art and perceptual value, the research deliberates on the following three major theses:
1. Significance of Local Culture Awareness
In the 1970s, Taiwan faced its social transition with a direct impact on local religious cultures as well as overall changing tendency of life and values.
2. Conversion, Reconstruction, and Inheritance of "Eight Generals"
The parade formation of "Eight Generals" typically represents its unique cultural significances, specifically featuring a kind of artistry among other traditional cultural activities or folks arts.
3. Reevaluation of "Eight Generals" Culture through Artistic Combination of Interdisciplinary works and Smart clothes
According to the field survey and historical evolution, the researcher inevitably ponders at the crucial arguments, progressively conducts essential interviews, eagerly suggests analytic argumentation, and innovatively combines the technological gadget-Smart clothes-into the creation.
