The method of Questionnaire survey was adopted to investigate the current situation of English learning satisfaction and English learning attitude of junior high school students in Miaoli county, and to analyze the differences of individuals’ perception and the correlation among the variables. Finally, make a prediction for English learning attitude based on English learning satisfaction. The source population was students from public junior high schools in Miaoli county and the method of stratified random sampling was adopted from April to June in 2013. Therefore, the researcher distributed 620 questionnaires and received 598 effective samples out of 617 returned copies, which accounted for 96.45% of the population. The instrument was “English Learning Satisfaction and English Learning Attitude of Junior High School Students in Miaoli County Questionnaire” made by the researcher. Data analysis included mean score, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. According to the results of data analysis, the conclusions are summarized as follows: 1.The current status of students’ perception toward English learning satisfaction in junior high schools is above average. 2.The current status of students’ perception toward English learning attitude in junior high schools is above average. 3.In the respect of school locations, students whose schools are located in a city have more significant perception toward the whole English learning satisfaction and attitude than students whose schools are located in a town. 4.In the respect of grades, the seventh grade students have more significant perception toward the whole English learning satisfaction than the eighth and the ninth grade students. Although there is a significant standard in term of the whole English learning attitude, there is no significant difference among these variables. 5.In the respect of gender, girl students have more significant perception toward the whole English learning satisfaction and attitude than boy students. 6.In the respect of socioeconomic status, high or middle socioeconomic students have more significant perception toward the whole English learning attitude than low socioeconomic students. 7.In the respect of experiences of taking English classes in cram schools, students who take English classes in cram schools have more significant perception toward the whole English learning satisfaction and attitude than students who never take English classes in cram schools. 8.In the respect of the English grade average, overachievers have more significant perception toward the whole English learning satisfaction and attitude than underachievers. 9.There is a significant correlation between English learning satisfaction and English learning attitude. 10.The variables of English learning satisfaction can significantly predict English learning attitude. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions are offered for school administrations, English teachers, parents and future researches.
