Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 101 === This study focused on the current statuses and differences, as well as the correlation between social intelligence and parenting efficacy of mothers of pre-school children. The study employed questionnaires and through of the use stratified random sampling, selected 667 mothers of pre-school children from the Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli areas as the subjects for research. The results of the study are as follows: 1.The level of social intelligence and parenting efficacy of the mothers of pre-school children in this study were both above average. 2.The social intelligence of mothers of pre-school children showed noticeable differences depending on different variables such as the total monthly income of their family,differences in occupation, and their place of residence. 3.The parenting efficacy of mothers of pre-school children showed noticeable differences depending on different variables such as the total monthly income of the family, differences in occupation, and the number of children in the household. 4.The total scale and dimensionality of the social intelligence and parenting efficacy of mothers of pre-school children showed a positive correlation. 5.The parenting efficacy of mothers of pre-school children could be highly predicted by their social intelligence.
