Those eco-tourists who with the mood of nature caring, life respecting, humble life, living up to the environmental conservation, tend to deeply involve into the nature and humanities of the destiny. Eco-tourism activities also bring the benefits of improving interpersonal relationship, parent-child relationship and friendship, culturing team spirit, and improving wholesome life, for example, decreasing nervous, fatigue, anxiety, and pressure. That is the eco-tourists who integrate environmental interpretation education into life tend to live a more healthy life. Therefore, do the eco-tourists care about their healthy status? This study aims to investigate the relation among the tourists with different health-promoting life style, leisure involvement and lifecycle. First, papers reviewing methods were adapted to build the instrument of psychometric evaluation to measure health-promoting lifestyle for the eco-tourists. Five eco-tourism hotspots of Yang Ming Shan national park were selected as the sampling sites. Three hundred and seventy three structured questionnaires were issued by purposive sampling. The return rate was 90% with 336 effective responses. The statistical analyses methods including the descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, cluster analysis, one factor ANOVA, and chi square analysis. Results show that three types, active, easy-going, and passive, of health-promoting lifestyle were identified among the eco-tourists. The leisure involvement and lifecycle of the eco-tourists were statistically differed from the three types of health-promoting life style. The degree of leisure involvement increases with the activity of health-promoting life styles. The young and the pre-middle people tend to live with the type of easy-going health-promoting life style. While the old and the post-middle people tend to live with the type of active health-promoting life style. Finally, some ways of promoting the health-promoting life style was suggested.
