Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 護理研究所 === 101 === With the advancement and the popularization of various information technologies, mobile nursing station has established, so that they can prepare and give the medication at the bedside. This study is a quantitative research, designed as a historical comparison. It argues whether the notification number of clinical nurses’ medication-error accident has been reduced or not during the 2 years before and other 2 years after the implementation of the medication delivery system at the mobile nursing station. Besides, this study also discusses several factors that may cause significant differences to the error-making such as reasons, unit, classes, occupancy rate and number of nurses. The targeted nurses working at the adult wards in the medical and surgical departments, altogether eight units, are asked to answer the designed structured questionnaire in order to understand the clinical use of mobile nursing station. We collected 100 questionnaires and use SPSS 20.0 for statistic analysis. We found that in regard to satisfaction, there are significant differences in ages, department and seniority. There are no significant differences in educational background and duration of using the mobile station. The rates of medication error are higher at Surgery station than at Internal Medicine station. The most common cause of medication error is wrong dosage. The most common timing of medication error happens at evening shift. We found that most nursing staff are positive toward medication administration by using a mobile nursing station except the deficiency of hardware efficiency which may slow down the speed of medication administration. We hope that the results of this study can provide some references to setting up the facilities of nursing units in the hospitals.
