Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 護理研究所 === 101 === This study was explore the relationship among health literacy, self-management and quality of life (QOL) in 105 patients which have abdominal aortic aneurysm with stent graft. The purposes of this study were to: 1. investigate the basic attributes of patients. 2. investigate the health literacy, self-management, & quality of life situations of patients. 3 investigate significant of the basic of attributes to health literacy, self-management, quality of life 4. the basic attributes, health literacy, & self-management impact on quality of life.
This is a cross-sectional correlation study design, Instruments included the Taiwan health literacy scale (THLS), the partners in health scale (PIH), Chinese version of medical outcome study short form-12 ( SF-12). Descriptive statistics were used to describe the distribution of all variables. T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient was use to know the relationship among THLS, PIH & SF-12. Besides, multiple regression was used to establish the QOL predictive modles.
The study showed that the basic attributes, health literacy and self-management for physical component summary of QOL, explained about 36.3% of the variance. But the mediating Effect of self management is 73%; education level and exercise habits are 57% between the health literacy and QOL. The basic attributes, and self-management for mental component summary of QOL, explained about12.6% of the variance, but the health literacy is not significant. According to the study findings suggest that the PIH can assess the QOL of the patients post stent graft. If the PIH score is poor, exercise rehabilitation and education programs should be performed for improved QOL.
