Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 生死教育與輔導研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to explore how the mothers of LGBT daughters narrated their own experiences towards their life during the creative activity called “Speaking of a homosexual inclination via artworks;” therefore, the narrative inquiry methodology was used to adopt a particular view from the mothers of LGBT daughters before, when, and after they had found out about their daughters with homosexual inclinations based on their own experiences in the activity with five meetings. Study participants were comprised of three mothers who had been well aware of their daughters’ homosexual inclinations for more than a year. The data collection contained the semi-structured interview record conducted before the activity took place, activity observation record, and semi-structured interview record after the activity took place, supervisory discussion record, and researcher’s journal. The establishing of trustworthiness of the research included the peer debriefing, member check, crystallization, researcher standpoint expression, and audit trail, etc. Findings were derived from the analysis of poetic structure condensed from the mothers’ stories shared during the activity. Based on the mothers’ life experiences along with the time series, the research text covered their past, present, and future perspectives; as well as a sense of loss the research discovered while exploring the mothers’ experiences, including the three mothers’ feelings of loss individually, sorrowful reactions, and meaning reconstruction. The activity, “Speaking of a homosexual inclination via pictures,” showed itself a creative activity based on the stories of three mothers and the meanings embedded in the process, and the researcher’s reflections were written as a closing remark.
