United-Hearts Construction Company is a small construction company which was founded in 2010. At the beginning, all three stockholders saw eyes to eyes to take the idea of sustainable management as the future goal. In order to reach this goal, company should not only pursue business profit, but also make contributions to communities and benefit people from hometown. For this reason, the company will be able to develop and maintain long term relationship with the community and thus establish the corporate culture. As all stockholders are volunteers of the Tzu-Chi Foundation, they believe the karma of knowing what you are blessed with, cherish and plant seeds for future blessings. Although operating a business under rightfulness is really a challenge, it is ultimately the only road to a sustainable enterprise. This thesis investigates into plans for founding a charity and discusses prospective benefits of the foundation. Concepts and operations of Social Enterprises are introduced. In order to upgrade to an eco-friendly construction company, literature and government regulations on how to make future projects conform to the green building design are studied. Last but not least, the company commits to deliver green buildings to promote public welfare, and maintain the landscape architecture to preserve local history culture by launching Kaohsiung local cultural architecture. Based on this thesis, strategic plans for the company are developed and the company is expected to grow in an efficient and effective way for the years to come.
