Summary:碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 音樂學系研究所 === 101 === Ludwig van Beethoven was one of the most important composers in the Classical period as well as a crucial figure between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western music history. He often composed with classical form and technique, but his music were filled with more musical expression than before. Many composers were deeply influenced by his creative compositional skills. Being one of Beethoven’s most important works, completed in 1806, Violin Concerto Op.61 was the only violin concerto he wrote. First chapter of this study introduced Beethoven’s life in Vienna, offering the background of this work. The second chapter focused on the analysis of the form. The third chapter discussed performance skills and the interpretation of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto Op.61. The conclusion in the final chapter was about the reason why the concerto is important and unique in violin repertoire and its influence to violinists after years.
