After integrate the research and theory of work mood, explore the antecedents of the start-of-workday moods in this study, in addition to work-related factors, add non-work-related factors in the model, and examined the moderating effects of gender on above relationships. In this study, first used inductive and deductive approach and structured questionnaires to collect the item pool, then find 108 employees to be respondents and experience for two weeks (Monday to Friday). In the end, 108 questionnaires were distributed and 1018 were effective ones. The results of the hierarchical linear modeling analyses showed that expected work event, physical condition and the commute are positively predicted positive start-of-workday mood and negatively predicted negative start-of-workday mood. Furthermore, the weather is positively predicted positive start-of-workday mood, the family pressure is negatively predicted positive start-of-workday mood and positively predicted negative start-of-workday mood. Finally, the physical condition has strong influence on positive start-of-workday mood and expected work event has strong influence on negative start-of-workday mood.
