Abstract
This study focused on understanding the disability welfare service quality expectations and perceptions among people with spinal cord injuries. Purposive sampling survey was conducted with the interviewed questionnaires to the members of a Spinal Cord Injury Association. Seventy valid questionnaires were collected. Based on the data analysis, the research conclusions are as follows:
(1) The disability welfare services quality expectations were higher "the staffs from the department of disability welfare services understand my needs” and “the services offered to me make me feel safe and reassured.
(2) The perceptions of service quality are higher on individuals with four limbs disabilities than with lower limbs disabilities among “actual reliabilites”.
(3) The perceptions of welfare services qualities on Actual "reliability", "responsiveness", "assurance" and "thoughtfulness" are higher on people with inherited diabilities than those who are post disabled.
(4) The quality of welfare services are higher on “real expectations”and the perceptions of “real assurance” are higher than other factors
(5) The perceptions and expectations among individuals with spinal cord injuries are significantly different; the perceptions of welfare service qualities are lower than expected.
