Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 社會工作系所 === 101 === Abstract: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the social support, work self-efficacy and the predictive power of social support to the work self-efficacy among people with acquired physical disabilities in Pingtung County, Taiwan. A collected and well-defined interviewed questionnaire was facilitated the investigation process. In this study, a questionnaire survey approach and convenience sampling was used to recruit 100 valid samples. The statistics software SPSS 19.0 was used for descriptive and inferential data analysis. The results showed that the social support of subjects were mostly from friends and spouse. The marriage status, educational levels and job situation were significantly related to social support among people with acquired physical disabilities. Work self-efficacy was also significantly related to gender, marriage status, job situation and religion. The results of predictive power indicate that the better the “informational support”, the better the “confidence in career preparation skills”. Whereas the better the “instrumental support”, the worse the “confidence in career preparation skills”. The better the “informational support”, the better the “confidence in job seeking skills”. The better the “instrumental support”, the worse the “confidence in job seeking skills”.
