Two concrete retaining walls were placed on-site. The strengths of the concrete used for retaining walls are 175kg/cm2 and 280 kg/cm2. After one year, the cores were drilled and test. The diameters of the cores are 5.0 cm, 7.5 cm, 10.0 cm and 15.0 cm with L/D ratio equaling 2. Based on the test results, the relationship between the core size and the compressive strength of the concrete of structure are discussed.
