Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 101 === The study purpose is to investigate the current situation of elementary piano teachers’ teaching style and students’ learning attitude, and their inter-relationship in Kaohsiung and Pingtung area. The researcher also compares the differences in learning attitude among students from diverse backgrounds. In order to achieve the purpose, the questionnaire designed by the investigator as a tool is used to survey students’ piano learning experiences in Kaohsiung and Pingtung area. This study includes 640 participants, from third through twelfth graders taught by elementary piano teachers. Five hundred and thirty-eight questionnaires were returned and valid (84%). Based on descriptive statistics analysis (frequency distribution, percentage, means and standard deviation), and inferential statistics analysis (T-test, a-single-factor ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient) applied by SPSS17.0, significant findings are as followed: 1. Students think that piano teachers are more likely to demonstrate the “high authority and high concern” teaching style, which “concern” is in a higher level of consciousness. 2. Elementary piano teachers’ overall teaching style has a significant effect on students’ learning attitude, but the relationship between them is weak. 3. The learning attitude of piano students is positive, but the habit of piano practice can be improved. 4. The “high concern” teaching style of elementary piano teachers has positive effect on students’ learning attitude. Finally, based on the research findings, the recommendation are proposed for elementary piano teachers to improve teaching quality, and for future research.
