碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 社會發展學系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study aims understand elder intergenerational relationship and life satisfaction under different background variables. This study used questionnaire method. The studied objects were the elder who live in Pingtung County. Stratified judgmental sampling was adopted. The effective samples are 340 in total. According to the results of the questionnaire, the following conclusions are gained by handling data and analyzing method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance of analysis, Pearson’s product moment correlation, and regression. Conclusions and drawn as follows 1. The intergenerational relationship of the elders is above average. Among the intergenerational relationship, Structure Solidarity is the highest. 2. The life satisfaction of the elders is above average. Among the life satisfaction, Enjoyment of Life is the highest. 3. There are significant differences among elders’ intergenerational relationship depending on the female, self-perceived income, self-perceived health and the number of grandchild. 4. There are significant differences among elders’ life satisfaction depending on marital statuses, families dwelling together, self-perceived income, self-perceived health. 5. There is a positive correlation between intergenerational relationship and life satisfaction. 6. Intergenerational relationship could explain effectively about life satisfaction, especially in effectual solidarity which display the greatest prediction influence. In the end, the author provided relevant suggestions based on the conclusions for elders, governmental agency, and future researches to make a reference.
