The researcher in this study adopted narrative analysis, and interviewed six adolescents growing up in remote countryside. The major findings of this study were as below: 1. The impacts and influence toward children in high risk family (1) Aspects of adolescents in daily life: facing issues such as economic pressure, father’s alcohol abuse, domestic violence, lack of social resources and culture stimulations. (2)Aspects of adolescents in school life: majority of adolescents in high risk family valued their peers, when they encountered problems in the schools, they relied on themselves or discussed their problems with their peers. (3)Aspects of adolescents on an individual level: majority of adolescents in high risk family experienced negative emotions, but the negative influence on adolescents’ physiological health was not obvious, when adolescents in high risk family faced difficulties, they tended to solve their problems by themselves, but when they were incapable of solving it, they often let it go with the flow. Moreover, when they faced crisis, they often hided themselves and constrained their emotions, rather than faced the problems. 2. The process of recovery in different stages of resilience (1)Protective factor: include self-esteem, optimistic, intelligence quotient above average, problem solving skills, resilience, self-control abilities, self-efficacy sensation, considerate, social skills, self-expectation, valued the support and the care of the family, good family relationships, last but not least, the support from teachers, peers, relatives and social welfare groups. (2)When facing major risk factors, besides adolescents self-protective factors, school or community protective factors could also play important roles in protections. (3)As each stage of risk factors threaten changes, the protective factors would change as well, therefore the interaction between risk factors and protective factors would result different stages of resilience.
