Homosexual movies are effective strategy for LGBT education movement, however, the movie audience have diverse interpretations of the text. The goal of this study focus on how audiences as high school teachers simultaneously receive and interpret these LGBT issue in movie text. This study interviewed 10 middle school teachers with depth interview to observe how the teachers interpreting the meanings and the implications of homosexual movies, and how the teachers’ position and life experiences interact with the film. Furthermore, to explore how the transformation of the teacher’s attitude effecting the teaching beliefs. The study found that high school teachers’ perspectives of homosexual movies is based on youthful love, family conflict, negative tragedy, sexual affairs, such as different narrative presentations and develop the coexistence interpretations of dominant-hegemonic,oppositional and negotiated position. Commence from curiosity and sympathy, high school teachers show concern to homosexual movies by contacting gender issue, recognizing gay friends, reading media reports and books. The interaction influence their views of gay issues on campus. Following the previous discussion, high school teachers will connect the depicted LGBT issue in the text and teaching field in real world, and thus reinforce their consciousness to diverse sexual-orientation; moreover, allowing students, peer teachers and parents have further understanding with LGBT education. 游美惠 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
