This study adopted quesionnaire survey to conduct data collection and used fifth and sixth graders in elementary schools in Kaohsiung City as study samples. A total 862 effective samples were retrieved. The research tools are reedited “self-concept scale for elementary school students”, “resilience scale for elementary school students” and “life adjustment scale for elementary school students”. The research results were analyzed by statistical methods including descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The findings of the study are as follows: 1. Self-concept, resilience and life adjustment of seniors in elementary schools are in intermediate-high level. 2. There are significant differences in self-concet of different gender, family structures and family atmosphere and there are no significant differences in self-concept between of grades and birth order. 3. There are significant differences in resilience of different gender, family structures and family atmosphere and there are no significant differences in resilience of different grades and birth order. 4. There are significant differences in life adjustment between different gender, grades, family structures and family atmosphere and there are no significant differences in resilience of birth order. 5. There is a significant positive correlation between self-concept and resilience of seniors in elementary schools, especially the aspect of “physical self” in self-concept and the aspect of “hopful and optimistic”in resilience have the highest correlation. 6. There is a significant positive correlation between self-concept and life adjustment of seniors in elementary schools, especially the aspect of “family self” in self-concept and the aspect of “family adjustment”in life adjustment have the highest correlation. 7. There is a significant positive correlation between resilience and life adjustment of seniors in elementary schools, especially the aspect of “empathy and interpersonal skills” in resilience and the aspect of “personal adjustment”in life adjustment have the highest correlation. 8. There is a sifnificant prediction on self-concept, resilience and life adjustment of seniors in elementary school and among that the aspect of “empathy and interpersonal skills” has the highest prediction. This study brought up suggestions according to the above conclusions which can be reference for parents, teachers, education administrations and correlative researches in the future.
