This study chose survey method. The tool sued was “The Questionnaire of special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County current perception, affection and need toward new special education curriculum guideline” developed by the researcher. The study used census. The target population is based on special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County. In this study, 156 were issued a formal questionnaires, 146 were returned rate of 93.58%. However, the effective samples are 142 in total. According to the result of the questionnaires, the following conclusions were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance of analysis. The following were the results of this study: 1. The perception degree of special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County toward new special education curriculum guideline was favourable, especially in “General programs”. 2. The affection degree of special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County toward new special education curriculum guideline was acceptable, especially in “Curriculum planning and implementation”. 3. The need degree of special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County toward new special education curriculum guideline was urgent, especially in “Integration of resources”. 4. Teachers involved in the pilot schools toward overall perception of new special education curriculum guideline had significant higher score than non-participation in the pilot school teachers. 5. Teachers participated in the new special education curriculum guideline study toward overall perception of new special education curriculum guideline had significant higher score than non-participation in the new special education curriculum guideline stud teachers. 6. Teachers involved in the pilot schools toward overall affection of new special education curriculum guideline had significant higher score than non-participation in the pilot school teachers. 7. The need degree of special education teachers of elementary school in Pingtung County toward new special education curriculum guideline was higher than the demand for their degree of perception and affection. The conclusions above have the following implications 1. For special education teachers of elementary school 2. For educational administrative organizations and school administrations 3.
