In the absence of optical feedback, spiking oscillations were observed in Np-cut Nd:KGW lasers. If the pump power is more than twice the pump power of the laser threshold, the laser exhibited relaxation oscillations intermittently. After introducing the Doppler optical feedback, we found that the residence time of relaxation oscillations increased when the frequency of Doppler optical feedback was increased.
