Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 101 === Abstract The main purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between self-regulated learning and media preferences of adults while studying at The Open University in Kaohsiung. Questionnaires are used as the main research method and the adults who learn at The Open University in Kaohsiung are taken as the study samples. A total of 720 questionnaires, 579 valid questionnaires are reached, the available rate is 86%. The researcher edits and adopts the tools of “Questionnaire Survey of The Open University Students’ Self-regulated Learning and Media Preferences ” as the main study tool. The data are analyzed with methods including descriptive statistics, t-test, product-moment correlation, one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA. Valid data is statistically analyzed and summarized; the main finding conclusions are as following: 1. The students’ self-regulated learning of The Open University in Kaohsiung achieved middle and above level. 2. The students’ media preferences of The Open University in Kaohsiung achieved middle and above level. 3. Different background factors of the students are significant differences in the level of self-regulated learning. 4. Different background factors of the students are significant differences in the level of media preferences. 5. The relationship between self-regulated learning and media preferences has positive correlation. 6. Different background factors and self-regulated learning affect in media preferences. Finally, the investigation aims to specific recommendations based on the findings serve as a reference for The Open University, the teachers and the students of The Open University.
