When Chinese philosophy has become the new global fashion for business managers and is also favored by Chinese and foreign scholars, the entire world is going after the "Book of Changes". “Zhou Yi” contains astronomy observation of elements as far as from the universe, also elements as close as human nature. It is so profound that it includes every dimension on earth. It promotes the goodwill of social behavior as well as the compassion of saving the world. It also promotes the inner beauty of the heart, the soul and the virtue. These are the reasons that it is called the mother of Chinese philosophy of management. Therefore, we can say that “Zhou Yi” is worth every value of the research. There was a comment from "Houston Chronicle", the largest circulated newspaper in Texas, USA, said that “To lead the way for the smallest thing like an ant is like reaching one of the highest level of a charity. Leading the way is the starting point of a good deed. It is also a kind of wisdom and more like a big love from a pure heart.“ Just like things do not happen by themselves, but were led to take place. An excellent team needs top managements. A top management needs profound wisdom. To lead the way of the modern management of philosophy, we need to study “Zhou Yi” because it represents the profound wisdom of Chinese philosophy as well as the foundation of Chinese cultures. The main idea of this research paper starts with the philosophy of the eight hexagrams from “Ba Qua” to the theory of management from the sixty-four hexagrams of “Zhou Yi”. The first chapter introduces the motive of this research, explains related literatures, and establishes research purposes and methods. The second chapter talks about the introduction of philosophy of management. It also overviews the significance of management and philosophy as well as their relationships and explore the definition of the philosophy of management in order to establish the cognition and recognition of the study. The third chapter discusses and interprets the characteristics of “Ba Qua”; describes the relationship between “Ba Qua” and the philosophy of management from “Zhou Yi” in order to establish the recognition of the main idea. Then, by linking the application between “Ba Qua” and SWOT to explore the principles and characters of the philosophy of management from “Zhou Yi”. As for the body of the thesis, organization management theory is addressed in the fourth chapter; strategy management theory is addressed in the fifth chapter. These two chapters study the principles of the combination from the eight hexagrams to the sixty-four hexagrams and the characteristics of the evolution trends. Through four attributes ( ☰ 乾 qián, ☳ 震 zhèn, ☵ 坎 kǎn, ☶ 艮 gèn ) that represent masculine as well as another four attributes ( ☱ 兌 duì, ☲ 離 lí, ☴ 巽 xùn, ☷ 坤 kūn) that represent feminine; respectively☰ 乾 qián, ☳ 震 zhèn, ☵ 坎 kǎn, ☶ 艮 gèn, ☱ 兌 duì, ☲ 離 lí, ☴ 巽 xùn, ☷ 坤 kūn represent types of organizations for managers; from the phenomenon of opposition established by “masculine leads masculine”, “masculine leads feminine”, “feminine leads feminine”, and “feminine leads masculine” among “yang against masculine”, “masculine with feminine”, “ying against feminine” to explore the features of organization management and strategy management in “Zhou Yi”. Finally, SWOT analytical methods were used to summarize and analyze the philosophy of management. Not only does the organization have the characteristics of bureaucratic resistance, but also more intricate. As far as the management strategy is concerned, it has pointing, effective, long-term, and predictable characteristics. The explorations of the meaning of the hexagram and line statements will be the guidelines for the philosophy of managements. Therefore, there will be no debate on individual words, but rather on the meaning of the whole entity in order to master the essence of the book. The last chapter summarizes the results of this thesis, indicating limitations and prospects. Overall, this paper makes up the current inadequate opinions about the book. The usage of “Ba Qua” to SOWT analysis method can be described as a new transcends. Not only does the thesis discuss the worthy corrections against previous research, but also hope to establish something useful for the future research. Perhaps we only glimpse one corner of the whole book of “Zhou Yi”, then I would continue to work on self-enrichment, continue to look for the little or unknown value or light of the book, also I would humble myself for any advice from previous professionals.
