According to the experiment result, the transmission time and the package size which were resulted by packaging files into SOAP messages were 1.772 and 1.333 times more than the files which were using POST method of REST architecture for transmission. When we were transmitting image files, we could call OpenCV functions in PHP to do image processing and the result would be shown on the web page. But so far, there''re just a few OpenCV functions in PHP. Therefore, we also introduced the procedures of developing PHP extensions for adding OpenCV functions in PHP in the future.
