Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 營建工程研究所 === 101 === Bolted connections have been used extensively in steel construction. This study examines the behavior of bolted connections at elevated temperature to ensure the security of bolted connections at elevated temperature. In this study, finite element models are used to simulate the behavior of bolted connections tested at elevated temperature, and the results from the finite element analysis were compared with those derived from the experimental results. Parametric studies were also carried out to examine the effect of temperature, end distance and edge distance on the behavior of bolted connection in the fire condition. Finally, the results are used to evaluate the feasibility of extended application of the current AISC formulas for bolted connections at elevated temperature. Based on the results of this study, it is found that current design specifications can be applied directly for bolted connection failed as tensile fracture and block shear failure in the fire condition. A new model is proposed with the consideration of the effect of both end and edge distances on the bearing strength of bolted connection at elevated temperature up to 650°C.
