There are many different types of sensor around the world that means we have to face the big challenges in the integration of heterogeneous sensor. In recent years, due to the prosperity of cloud computing and handheld, lightweight terminal device are now in common use. The type which communicating through HTTP has not been able to meet the demand. Fortunately, Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC) proposed a Sensor Web Enablement(SWE), it will be able to realize the concept of the Sensor Web through this standard, and it’s free. The architecture of SWE can be achieved the concept of cloud computing, processing and calculating to remain in the server side, so that the client can be lightweight. SWE has the following advantages. First, reduce costs, the service itself is an open source software and can be reduced development jobs through SWE, it don’t have to be design different tables in database for different sensor type. And it don’t have to write an extra program to connect to the database, just follow the standard model, and it can be store data into the database through the SWE’s web services. Second, it combines service with geographic information. Third, the realization of the sensor web, use the device can be connected to the Internet will be able to use the service. This essay aims at proving the convenience of SWE through using its standards, which provided by OGC, to integrate the individual services and implement on service management system.
