Government, mass media and social scholars start to discuss this kind of issue. To explain the total fertility rate, it means that in average, women would have 1.57 children in their life. This problem is called “1.57 shock” in these days. From then on, Japanese government starts to confront the low birth rate and takes it as a social issue. Thereafter, Japanese government tries to reform positively and to build a good environment which tends to bear and raise children for every family, what is called the strategy of “supporting women for working and raising children.” The reason of birth rate decrease is because people get married at late ages. The unusual unmarried rate leads to serious problems. Sociologists point out that preventing the spread of bachelors and spinsters and improving birth rate should be executed and the main point is spouse hunting. However, can spouse hunting prevent low birth rate? Take a look from the present research paper, the writer believes that spouse hunting cannot increase the birthrate clearly. Therefore, in order to slow down the low birthrate, some scholars address the idea, spouse hunting, to increase the marriage rate. Spouse hunting becomes the most popular hit for singles to make friends. The purpose of the research is to discuss if spouse hunting can really improve the birthrate plainly. The writer collects some information such as the comment of scholars, some books’ information, and the research from public departments and so on to discuss the present and the past value system, the change of marriage notion, and the concepts of love, life, and value between men and women and to use these data to talk about the reason of declining birthrate and the problems of aging society. This essay is written by realizing the present and the past marriage values difference by source books, and analyze the pros and cons of spouse hunting and the suggestions of practice objectively. Finally, get the reliable results from the information. Although spouse hunting is quite popular now, the marriage rate is still not increasing. The main reason is because most single ladies and men are in pursuit of “perfect marriage.” The conditions of choosing the perfect person for them become much stricter and they cannot even recognize the one clearly. So it is much more difficult for people to get married if people try to pursue their ideal spouse. After reading this thesis, hope readers could be more positive about marriage. The writer believes that having plans for youngster to obtain employment is required in low birthrate and aging society. For the coming of low birthrate and aging society, it is believed that having plans for youngster to obtain jobs, providing complete childcare facilities and offering elders good environment are totally required. Besides, the previous systems of values for women such as taking care of children, looking after for sick people and doing chores should be rejudged and changed. I believed that males should share responsibility such as doing housework and taking care of children. These things are very important and should be re-educated.
