Especially, applying the expert program FDIR, the system has the functions of telemetry, monitoring, and remote control to detect feeder fault. When the accident occurs, the system will operate automated switches automatically to isolate the fault section by the program logic operation results, narrow the section of power outages and reduce load transfer time of operated switches effectively such that the power is restored quickly in healthy section. The power distribution feeder automated system can work only if the messages that provide to FDIR from Feeder Terminal Unit (FTU) are accuracy. One of the important factors is the setting for Time Coordination Curve (TCC) of FTU. In this paper we discuss how to set TCC to reduce the misjudgment of FDIR. And we propose a criterion to reach the optimal setting for TCC.
