Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 環境工程學系碩士班 === 101 === Most soils in the downstream of Lan-Yang River are sandy soils and the riverbed is very suitable for planting melon crops. However, the nutrition of sandy soil is easy to lose and difficult to preserve, so that there is an inadequate supply of nutrients for crop growth. In the early planting stage, pesticides and chicken manure fertilizers are used for the blend of fertilizing materials and the farmers’ behavior are often questioned the main cause of water pollution in the river. In order to realize the effects of water quality in Lan-Yang River, the study proceeds to find the planting behavior. The planting area for watermelons was 448.5679 hectares in 2011. Planting and harvesting times for watermelons in different months are site preparations in January, planting watermelons in February, dressing and the application of pesticides from March to May, and harvests in June. At the final stage, watermelon planting equipment, plastic cloth and an irrigation system should be completely removed. Compared to the water quality of Who-Lu-Do Bridge and the riverbed water in the planting area, the greatest impact of the penetration of pollutants should be a regional groundwater. Based on the hydrological data of regional groundwater monitoring wells in Yilan County and the information of Water Resources Agency of Ministry of Economic Affairs, the flowing direction of groundwater in Lan-Yang Plain shall flow from Snow Mountain to Lan-Yang River that does not affect the water quality of Shan-Go water purification plant. This study analyzes and reviews the water quality as well as the soil testing between Lan-Yang Bridge and Buffalo Bridge in the Lan-Yang River. Furthermore, the items of analysis should include pH values, total nitrogen, ammoniacal nitrogen, conductivity and so on. Moreover, the soil analysis should be after the harvest of melons to realize the fertilizers decomposition. Especially, the EXCEL is used as a statistical software tool to proceed data analysis. Finally, it is described to observe the variations of water quality and to explore the effects of fertilizer use of planting behavior in the Lan-Yang River.
