From stereo movies to home stereo theater, Stereoscopic technology has moved from the large theater into personalized home entertainment. Stereoscopic imaging performance and technique of expression have become an integral part of the entertainment industry. However, the current popularity of stereoscopic techniques are required to wear stereoscopic glasses to view stereoscopic images. For most consumers, wearing additional glasses is actually inconvenience. Therefore, Autostereoscopic technology has become an important indicator for the next step of stereoscopic image development.
This study is used the multi-view slanted lenticular technology for autostereoscopic display. By the virtual environments provided of 3D animation software, we set up multi-view virtual camera and develop auto-processing program using highly developing feathers of 3D animation software. After all images are captured by each multi-view virtual camera, program will automatically launch batch render for each view and completely merge into the autostereoscopic image. Through this auto processing technology, any 3D animation production can produce the autostereoscopic image on any slanted lenticular flat-panel displayer.
