The objective is to investigate the effect of different concentration of Paclobutrazol (PP333) (0, 100, 200 and 400 mg•L-1)、BA (250, 300, 400 and 500 mg•L-1) and chitosan (1, 2, 4 and 6 mg•L-1), drench and spray of different treatments on plant growth and development of Cymbidium ensifolium 'Yushan Jin'. In 2011 with different concentrations of PP333 in a different application treatments, the higher concentration as leaf elongation and leaf length will be fewer, spray and drench treatment were significant effective than the control, while the drench treatment has better inhibitory effect than spary treatment. While drench 400 mg•L-1 PP333 had the best inhibitory effect and foliar variegation, but also because of the higher concentration will supperess the leaf growth and expansion and easy to infect pathopoiesis, therefore 200 mg•L-1 PP333 was more suitable for plant;BA + PP333 treatment also in the same consequence, spray treatment can effectively increase the number of buds and pedicels, although the drench treatment will increase the number of buds but instead suppress the development of flower buds; application of 2 mg•L-1 chitosan drench can effectively improve plant survival rate and vegetative growth. In 2012, and then to a different frequency 200 and 400 mg•L-1 PP333, 250 mg•L-1 BA and 2,4,6 mg•L-1 treated chitosan;PP333 drench treatment can increase the foliar variegation, high concentration and relatively easy to produce a large number of multi-foliar variegation; to 250 mg • L-1 BA spary treatment had no significant impact on the number of buds;2, 4 and 6 mg•L-1 chitosan on plant growth, buds, and no difference in survival rates, and therefore 2 mg•L-1 chitosan treatment on survival with improved plant growth and the effect of nutrition. The experimental results show that suggested 200 mg•L-1 PP333 drench two times + 500 mg•L-1 BA spray three times and weekly drench 2 mg•L-1 chitosan on Cymbidium ensifolium 'Yushan Jin ' before shoot emergence, without excessive inhibition of growth and have more buds and flower buds, and foliar variegation with a better performance.
