Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處音樂教學碩士班 === 101 === This study was conducted to determine effectiveness of teaching “Children Musical Playlet” based on actual performance. The children musical playet was taught for 10 days at a summer camp with the enrollment of 42 elementary school students, ranging from grade two to grade six. At the end of the course, the students were called to perform the musical short play they learned at the camp. Data collected from. students’ worksheets, questionnaires, interviews, researcher’s observation records, and video records of final performance were used for assessment of effectiveness of the teaching method of “Children Musical Playlet”. Results showed that:
1)Group teaching in summer camp is an effective method of promoting the techniques of teaching children musical playlet.
2)Since music is the most important component in the children musical playlet, Children’s understanding of the music was enhanced through listening to the music with dancing performances in a mix age group setting.
3)The audiences and the students watched the “Children Musical Play” have several viewpoints in common. First, the performers always devoted their efforts in in their performance; second, they were very enthusiastic in performing; third, the performers’ clothes were bright and beautiful; and forth, the students’ performance was even more impressive with impressive music from the onsite piano accompany impressive.
4)The feedback from the students of grades four, five and six enrolled in this study confirmed the Piaget’s children cognitive development theory.
5)Children who participated in the musical play showed positive improvements in self-esteem, interpersonal relations, and introspective intelligences.
6)Children who participated in the musical play showed to the goal of 10 core competence on Grade 1-9 curriculum.
The difficulties encountered and the solutions to these difficulties recommended in this study will be useful to researchers and others who are interested in performance-based teaching on children’s musical playet.
