The purposes of the study were to explore the relationship between teachers’ perception of school feature certification and teaching effectiveness of elementary schools in Taoyuan County. The research data was collected through questionnaire survey. The objectives were sampled out stratified and randomly from 64 public elementary schools in Taoyuan County. The 560 effective questionnaires recovered from 660 issued copies and the available rate was 91%. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistic, two-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Conclusions from this study are summarized as follows:
1. The elementary school teachers’ perception of school feature certification in Taoyuan County has higher than medium level in average.
2. The elementary school teachers’ perception of teaching effectiveness in Taoyuan County has higher than medium level in average.
3. There were significant differences in teachers’ perception of school feature certification with different gender, educational background and school sizes.
4. There were significant differences in teachers’ perception of school feature certification with different ages, teaching seniority, duties and school sizes.
5. There were significant differences in teachers’ perception of teaching effectiveness with different educational background.
6. There were significant differences in teachers’ perception of teaching effectiveness with different ages, teaching seniority and duties.
7. There was a positive correlation between teachers’ perception of school feature certification and teaching effectiveness.
8. Findings show that teachers’ perception of school feature certification is predictor among teaching effectiveness.
According to the findings of this study, suggestions are proposed to the education administration authorities, elementary school teachers and future studies respectively.
