Objectives: The purposes of this study are to investigate the basic characteristics, quality of life and PTSD of the primary military personnel, and to explore the associated factors of these issues. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was taken in this study and a census was conducted by using a structured questionnaire to recruit primary health staff of 866 in the study (Response samples were 715 persons, and gave a response rate was 82.5%). Results: Those participants who had emotional ups and downs in the last month, it seems more likely to have more risk for PTSD (R2=11.6). Gender, BMI, PTSD were the predictor s of Physical Component Summary Scales (R2=8.6%). Work pressure, experience of major events, condition of emotional ups and downs, and score of PTSD were the predictors for Mental Component Summary Scales (R2=38.1%). Work pressure, experience of major events, condition of emotional ups and downs, score of PTSD are the predictors for Subjective Happiness Scales (R2=9.7%). Condition of emotional ups and downs, score of PTSD were the predictors for Satisfaction of Life Scales (R2=9.7%). Conclusion: Finally, this study suggests that it should set up effective psychological counseling system to avoid suffering from PTSD in primary military health staff.
