After analyzing how different background variables affect working stress and coping strategies to understand the correlation between the stress and the strategies, suggestions are made. This study adopts the questionnaire approach. Preschool educators in Hualien’s elementary school in 2012 were chosen to be the research subject. 234 copies of questionnaires were sent and 200 copies of them were valid. The raw data was analyzed through t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation functions of SPSS 12.0. The findings were as follows: 1.The research subject’s working stress was of high-intermediate level. And the highest working stress item was pressure from supervisors. 2.The research subject’s adoption of coping strategies was of high level. And the most frequently used strategy was support-seeking. 3.There was significant difference between marital status and workload. Professional title, different seniorities before reform, and seniorities in current school differ significantly from workload and pressure from supervisors. Moreover, there was significant difference between preschool location and, administrative and professional abilities and the whole working stress. 4.There was significant difference between marital status and self-adaptation, between professional title and “problem-solving and support seeking,” and between preschool location and procrastination-and-escape. 5.The higher preschool educators’ total working stress was, the more frequently they adopted the strategy of procrastination-and-escape; otherwise, the lower their total working stress was, the more frequently they adopted the strategies of problem-solving and self-adaptation.
