Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 諮商與臨床心理學系 === 101 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships between differentiation of self and love attitude for college students in Taiwan. The sample consisted of 216 college students. Instruments used in this study included the Differentiation of Self Inventory and the Love Attitude Scale. Data obtained in this study were analyzed by canonical correlation analysis. The canonical correlation analysis results were as follows: 1. College student who had lower level of emotional reactivity, emotional cutoff, and fusion with others are less likely to take a love attitude of storage, romantic, and agape. 2. College student who had higher level of I-position are more likely to take a love attitude of ludus. 3. College student who had higher level of fusion with others are more likely to take a love attitude of agape. Based on the results above, major findings were: the I-position was a significant factor of love attitude, then fusion with others and agape love attitude had a distinctive meaning in Chinese culture. Finally, the implications of this study for counselors and future research directions were proposed.
