We try to understand the rehabilitation phenomenology of disability from different perspectives under this positivist view trend. Methods: We had interviewed six male participants in a certain hospital unit in eastern Taiwan. Using qualitative research which is grounded in phenomenological psychology to observe, analyze and understand how the participants cope with the disability. We can find the situated structure and particular mode of being through the methodology. Results: In general situated structure, we find the dynamic struggling processes through the iterative ways of disruptive daily life - minimum the deviation – wellbeing. Six superordinate themes emerged from the sense to tense analysis are ‘make heterogeneity homogeneous ‘, trinity temporality’, ‘frozen the past’, ‘immediate here and now’, ‘forget the past, and keep present and future the same’, and ‘forget the past, mastery the present, and project the future’. Discussion: We find there are two transformative key factors, ‘reverse point’ and ‘bodily experiences’ through the sense of temporality of patients. We propose the ‘minimum the deviation’ concept to denote those who work through resilience despite the difficulty situation they face can reduce the threat and make plan towards the future to disclose the psychological growth phenomenon. Conclusion: This study shows that ‘sense’ and ‘tense’ are distinct from the ICF classification system of argument. We reconceptualize the ‘dis-ability’ and find the rehabilitate experiences embodiment with the daily life to make the new modes of existence thereby creating situations for the participants.
