| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 101 === In this multi-cultural and postmodern society, theoretically, everyone can express themselves at ease, but the fact is always another story. I regard myself as an individual with biracial identities to observe the reflection and influence others make in order to know and explore myself. What‘s more, I will figure out what factors and reasons affect me when I build and develop myself. It is not easy for me to face these memories as well as perceptions; however, I can reflect these thoughts and emotions into this work. As a result, I am able to face and deal with these conflictions much more easily and comfortably through the art creation.
In this research, I use the theory to build the model and basis, and explore the artists affecting myself. By looking back the way I grew, I observe the conflicts between other people and myself so as to make self-examination. Then, express these suspicion and misgivings resulting from these conflicts by the art creation. In this series of research and creation, I finally realize myself, and discover the variety and possibility of the creation
After finishing this series of the creation and researches, I can find out that there is tremendous chaos caused by the multi-cultural society, such as the chaos of identity. Whereas, these conflicts based on different opinions, thinking, and behaviors also bring about plenty of possibilities. As a result, I have to bravely and calmly face these problems and difficulties with different attitudes, even though these problems still exist. In addition to discovering diversity in the society, I am able to experience diversity of art through this series of the creation. For instance, the media, contents, and types of art are not a uni-dimension anymore; on the contrary, they are the outcomes of diversity.
Via this series of the creation, I hope I could not only encourage people who get into the same situation as me, but yield more imagination from the combination of traditional and digital media (GIF).
