This study is to develop art curriculum and instruction that take student’s autonomous planning graduation art exhibition as the core then offer students a student-centered learning environment where they can discuss, induce and draw up learning plans. Through multiple media experience and interesting creation, let students participate in planning, designing works, and forming curatorial group to undertake relative matters to graduation art exhibition such as selecting exhibition, decoration of works, etc. Through the process of students’ participation, we can inspect children’s abilities and inspire their potential of art to make children have autonomous planning and have confidence in their own creation. This study is done by action research which researcher is both teacher and observer. This study analyzes the implementation and overcome of “student’s autonomous planning gradation art exhibition” art teaching by using teacher’s dairy, interview record and questionnaire, etc. to amend curriculum design and adjust teaching methods. This study also evaluates teaching effectiveness through classroom observation, material analysis and researcher’s teaching reflection. The conclusions are as follows: 1. Curriculum design which take student’s autonomous planning graduation art exhibition as the core can let students have cooperative learning and learn together in their groups and they can think and reflect about their own creation. We can also cultivate students’ abilities to learn actively, solve problems and carry the plans into execution in Arts and Humanities learning area. 2. In the process of student’s autonomous planning graduation art exhibition art teaching, teachers adjust teaching according to students’ learning conditions. Through the interaction of teachers and students, enhance students’ patience and abilities to discuss, communicate and coordinate then change students’ learning attitudes and increase their learning effectiveness. This can make students have more confidence in creation and inspire their abilities and potential to create in arts and humanities learning area. According to the results of the research, reflections are given and conclusions and suggestions are offered as reference materials about curriculum development and implementation and further research.
