Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 101 === This study mainly discusses integrating Chin Non Paint-Writing into the calligraphy courses and implementing the calligraphy teaching among the fifth grade students in elementary schools to develop the teaching strategy and activity designs that are suitable for the fifth grade students in elementary school to learn calligraphy. It is also hoped that through the implementation of the teaching activities, teachers could find the problems arisen in students’ calligraphy learning and understand their learning results. This study aims to: a) make curriculum planning for teaching Chin Non paint-writing in the classes of the fifth grade of elementary schools; b) explore the history of implementation of Chin Non paint-writing teaching among the fifth grade students; c) explore the learning attitude of the fifth grade students during Chin Non paint-writing teaching and understand the students’ learning effects and teachers’ reflection during the implementation of Chin Non paint-writing teaching; and d) provide recommendations for calligraphy teaching in elementary schools. This study used action research method to conduct the research on calligraphy teaching. Several creative strategy for Chin Non calligraphy teaching were recommended, such as introduction into the conception of the art of modern calligraphy, integration of popular music into calligraphy teaching, and enriching teaching activity designs by games. From the findings and discussions in the research, we concluded: 1) move the curriculum design from thematic unit teaching step by step to achieve teaching objectives; 2) in the teaching process, integrating popular culture into teaching strategy would enhance the efficiency of calligraphy teaching; 3) integrating lacquer script into calligraphy teaching had positive learning effects on the students; 4) the diversification of calligraphy teaching could increase students’ learning interest. . Besides, the recommendations for future follow-up researches on calligraphy teaching for the fifth students are: the calligraphy teaching could be more interesting, more information and more diversified and combine with other courses; coupling with teaching field trips, increase appropriate learning environment and equipments; give the students more space and opportunities for exhibition; could include appreciation into the contents of calligraphy teaching. Based on above-mentioned results, the researcher discussed the teaching in this thesis and made recommendations for calligraphy teaching in elementary school and future researches and development.
