The samples are 768 junior high school students from Yunlin County. The questionnaire uses the following checklists: Depression Knowledge Questionnaire and Chinese version of the Beck Depression Inventory-II. We adopted aberrant response indices to understand students' misconceptions. The data is analyzed with methods such as descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of this research are as follows: (a) adolescents’ depression cognition are good, they have highest score in “depression treatment”. (b) Girls have stronger feeling about “negative attitude” than boys. (c) There is a significant difference in depression cognition between different ages. (d) There is a significant difference in aberrant response indices between different ages. (e) The “depression treatment” can predict depression intension.
